Job Summary

Aspen Skiing Company, founded in 1946 and a division of Aspen One, operates four mountains: Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk. Essential Job Functions

  • Follow designated opening/closing procedures for the restaurant, including housekeeping functions for restaurant and restroom areas
  • Engage with guests, helping as needed to ensure their needs are met
  • Utilize a point of sale (POS) system to accurately charge guests, apply discounts, and alert Restaurant Manager to discrepancies
  • Clean and clear tables efficiently, pre-bussing items at busy times to be able to turn tables quickly
  • Ensure all food items are stocked and alert manager to items which are out of stock
  • Maintain cleanliness of bus stations to include removal of trash, recycling
  • Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand

Qualifications

  • Must be over 16 years of age
  • Proficient guest service experience is preferred
  • Ability to communicate and follow oral or written directions in English is required
  • Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level is required for employees of ski in/ski out restaurants in winter
  • Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals
  • Ability to remain focused, organized, flexible, and detail-oriented
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures and exercises caution when working

Additional Information

  • Work Environment & Physical Demands: Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time; Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces; Must be able to continually lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance; Certain locations will require an employee to ski or snowboard
