Role Overview

The Food and Beverage Attendant position bridges front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations in our F&B cabins. Attendants contribute to kitchen, dining, cashier, and cooking duties, are scheduled in a specific role each day, and report directly to a leader.

Responsibilities

• Precisely deliver guest food orders by following recipes and instructions from the Executive Chef, Outlet Chef, and Sous Chefs
• Maintain high output to meet business demand while preparing plated menu items with strict attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
• Safely use knives, ovens, grills, warming trays, and other cooking equipment in accordance with culinary safety standards
• Prepare and stock ingredients, set up mise en place, and follow standardized recipes and production sheets
• Communicate courteously with associates, management, guests, and owners, adhering to Alterra Mountain Company brand standards
• Respond professionally to chef requests, including preparation work, dishwashing, cooking, plating, sanitizing, transporting and unpacking food deliveries, and maintaining a clean workstation
• Assist with ordering, inventory, recipe card preparation, menu development, and staff scheduling; report spoilage or shortages promptly
• Maintain walk‑in coolers per Snowshoe and WV health department standards; store perishable foods in covered containers and refrigerate after service
• Clean work station and follow closing instructions from the Sous Chef
• Support the culinary team in assigning tasks, addressing complaints, and resolving problems in the absence of supervisors
• Perform cashier duties: collect payments, compute totals, input amounts into the cash system, record transactions, balance cash registers, and ensure accurate revenue reporting
• Assist management with sales control, ensure all items are rung up, and contribute to overall team effort

Requirements
