EY SAP Technology Presales Architect

Join EY and help to build a better working world. As an EY SAP Technology Presales Architect, you directly help EY & clients with a highly efficient, optimised and precise pursuit proposals that leverage EY’s Technology assets and capabilities to transform and manage their business.

Responsibilities

• Client Interaction: Harvest requirements from the client and translate these into a solution that meets the objectives and principles agreed with the client. Lead the technology aspect of the pursuit team.
• Pursuit shaping: Provide guidance for the solution & pursuit definition, presales thought leadership, ascertain technical delivery possibilities & costs involved for the top critical business solution implementations - based on various available EY Technology products, tools & processes.
• Technology Presales development: Work with a wide variety of internal stakeholders, including Product Owners, Business Owners, EY SAP Delivery Teams, and GDS (Global Delivery Services).

Essential Functions of the Job

• Presales / Pursuit Architecture & Solutioning for mid to large scale pursuits
• Provide thought leadership during deal development, pursuit & close phases
• Deep understanding of SAP Technology and EY’s SAP drivers, products, tools & processes to deliver value to the client
• Establish Presales standards, guidelines and procedures to increase the success rate of client pursuits
• Create E2E solution architecture aligned with overall EA and IT Roadmap
• Shape RFP responses and bring in incisive insights from tech experience
• Reduce costs and bring efficiencies through strong expertise and working knowledge of EY’s technical & business architecture
• Coach business owners and pursuit leads on technology presales throughout the pursuit lifecycle
• Ensure proper pursuit / deal architecture and technology roadmaps are documented and adhere to standards
• Identify and address technology gaps during a pursuit cycle and develop innovative, creative mitigation plans

• Strong tech background – stints in deal development, architecture & strategy or technology start-up experience
• Experience on large scale multi-technology, data, analytics deals
• Technology all-round expertise – Applications, Infrastructure, Digital, Security
• Technical / data / application / integration architecture experience
• Expertise on solution write-up, making client presentations
• Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken
• Good business acumen with strategic relationship-building skills
• Ability to identify and mitigate technical risks
• Awareness of portfolio management principles
• Organized and methodical with a taste for detail
• Leadership and negotiating skills

Pay

$138,200 to $266,000 base salary range for all geographic locations in the US, and $165,800 to $302,300 for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento).

Schedule

Hybrid work model with most people in external, client serving roles expected to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
