About the role
The opportunity is to join EY as a SAP Technology Presales Architect. You will be responsible for helping EY and clients with pursuit proposals that leverage EY's technology assets and capabilities to transform and manage their businesses.
Responsibilities
- Client Interaction: Harvest requirements from the client and translate them into a solution that meets the objectives and principles agreed with the client. Lead the technology aspect of the pursuit team.
- Pursuit Shaping: Provide guidance for the solution and pursuit definition, presales thought leadership, ascertain technical delivery possibilities and costs involved for the top critical business solution implementations.
- Technology Presales Development: Work with a wide variety of internal stakeholders to envision, design and develop pursuit design and responses, ensuring alignment with overall EA and IT Roadmap.
- Technology Gap Addressing: Identify and address identified technology gaps through established channels such as available Innovation and product capabilities.
- Current Architecture and Roadmaps: Ensure proper pursuit and deal architecture and technology roadmaps are documented, aligned with standards and reference models.
- Solution Architecture: Create E2E solution architecture with an alignment to the overall EA and IT Roadmap of specific clients.
- Technology Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate technology risks, seeking input from relevant functions for step-out approvals when necessary.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
- Presales / Pursuit Architecture & Solutioning for mid to large scale pursuits
- Thought leadership in pursuit/business teams during deal development, pursuit and close phases
- Deep understanding of SAP Technology and EY’s SAP drivers, products, tools & processes
- Hands-on in creating E2E solution architecture with alignment to EA and IT Roadmap
- Address identified technology gaps through established channels
- Ensure proper pursuit/deal architecture and technology roadmaps are documented
- Collaborate with Technology Product Teams to influence the Product backlogs and priorities
Qualifications
- Knowledge on industry solutions/products
- Strong tech background – stints in deal development, architecture & strategy or being associated with a technology start-up
- Experience in large scale multi-technology, data, analytics deals
- Technology all-round expertise – Applications, Infrastructure, Digital, Security
- Technical / data / application / integration architecture experience
- Expertise on solution write-up, making client presentations
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken
- Ability to interact with a global audience of customers, partners and a global team
- Business acumen with strategic ongoing customer relationships, trust and respect for the company through technical leadership
- Awareness of portfolio management (principles, tools and techniques)
- Organized and methodical
- Ability to initiate, plan and develop according to plan though coping with uncertainty and risk
- Rigorous, thorough and with a taste for detail
- Leadership & negotiating skills and ability to drive change using influence and networking
- Experience in offshore/onsite working model and working with different geographies and cultures
- Certifications and/or experience in Agile Delivery and DevOps desirable
- Architectural training/certifications like TOGAF or IASA desirable
- Knowledge on service management framework, especially on areas of service strategy and design (ITIL V3/V4) desirable

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package including medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
Pay
$138,200 to $266,000 annually.
Schedule
Hybrid model with most people in external, client serving roles working together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
