About the role
Inpro is seeking an experienced Extrusion Set-Up Technician to support our 24/7 Extrusion manufacturing operations. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for setting up production lines, performing equipment changeovers, troubleshooting issues, and helping operators achieve safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Responsibilities
- Set up and shut down extrusion lines for production runs.
- Perform die, sizer, screw, and tooling changeovers.
- Assist operators with production start-ups and troubleshooting.
- Perform routine floor-level maintenance on extruders, tooling, and downstream equipment.
- Diagnose equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Ensure products meet quality standards through inspections and process verification.
- Perform quality audits and document required production and quality information.
- Partner with Shift Leads, Supervisors, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments to keep production running efficiently.
- Help train operators on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Assist with updating work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of extrusion manufacturing experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience performing equipment setups and changeovers.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and quality specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Forklift certification or the ability to successfully complete forklift training.
Schedule
This position follows a 12-hour rotating Panama schedule (2-2-3) in our 24/7 manufacturing operation. Night Shift Hours: 5:00pm - 5:00am. You should be able to work rotating day shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled, and overtime when needed. You should also be able to participate in shift handoffs and maintain dependable attendance.
