Extrusion C Tech
About the role
Set up and operate extrusion machines according to job specifications and safety standards.
Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and output.
Adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, temperature, pressure) to maintain optimal production conditions.
Make repairs to equipment when necessary and replace all broken and/or worn components.
Perform routine quality checks and inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Record production data and complete shift logs accurately.
Load raw materials and monitor material feed.
Follow all safety procedures and report any safety problems to the Production Manager immediately.
Responsibilities
- Commitment to our continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
- Identify, label, weigh and dispose of scrap.
- Clean and maintain machines and work area to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality control teams as needed.
- Identify and resolve basic machine malfunctions or deviations.
- Fulfill all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating extrusion machines.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
- Basic understanding of quality control methods.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
