About the role
Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a 3rd shift worker for a position in their manufacturing facility. The position is located at 1 Silverline Dr., North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902.
Responsibilities
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and follows all Cornerstone Building Brands safety rules, policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Maintains an exemplary attendance record and reports to work on time, ready to perform assigned duties.
- Communicates effectively in English with Operators, Team Leads, Supervisors, Maintenance, Quality, and support personnel.
- Inspects extruded PVC profiles for surface defects, dimensional accuracy, color consistency, contamination, and overall product quality throughout the packaging process.
- Affixes protective packaging materials including cardboard, foam, separators, tape, stretch wrap, shrink wrap, edge protectors, and other materials as required.
- Packages PVC profiles according to approved stacking methods, customer specifications, handling requirements, and packaging standards to prevent damage during storage and shipment.

- Ensures finished product is packaged neatly, securely, and professionally while maintaining product appearance and customer quality expectations.
- Loads carts, baskets, pallets, and packaging containers safely without exceeding weight limits or compromising product stability.
- Accurately labels finished product and verifies product identification, counts, lengths, production information, and packaging documentation before staging.
- Maintains complete product traceability through accurate labeling, documentation, and identification procedures.
- Identifies defective, damaged, or suspect material and immediately notifies the Extrusion Operator, Team Lead, or Supervisor for disposition.
- Separates scrap, regrind, recyclable materials, and waste into designated containers following company recycling and environmental procedures.
- Operates pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment safely when authorized.
- Assists with line startups, shutdowns, die changes, color changes, product changeovers, material movement, and production support activities as directed.
- Maintains workstations in accordance with 5S principles by keeping equipment, packaging materials, floors, and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Reports safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, production issues, and material shortages immediately to the appropriate personnel.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives, waste reduction efforts, productivity improvements, and quality objectives within the department.
- Works cooperatively with Operators, Team Leads, Supervisors, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to achieve daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Ability to accurately measure product lengths and dimensions using tape measures, gauges, templates, and other measuring devices.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and repeatedly handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift, including above shoulder height and below waist level.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, reach, and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, and dimensional conversions.
- Ability to convert fractions to decimals and accurately interpret production specifications.
- Ability to read and understand production work orders, packaging instructions, quality standards, product specifications, labels, and written procedures.
- Ability to identify cosmetic defects, damaged product, dimensional issues, and packaging nonconformities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely move carts, baskets, pallets, and finished product throughout the production area.
- Basic computer skills and experience using barcode scanners, production terminals, and electronic data entry systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work as part of a team while following instructions from Operators, Team Leads, Supervisors, and Quality personnel.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, extrusion, plastics, packaging, warehouse, or material handling is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to safety and quality.

- Pay Rate: 17.75 - 19.50 Per Hour, plus $1 per hour shift differential.
