About the role

Starting pay begins at $20.00 per hour, with higher rates available for candidates with relevant experience.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Extrusion Operator will oversee the operation of insulating extrusion equipment (PVC and/or CV), ensuring efficient set-ups, operation, and process monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Read and comprehend production work orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Use overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials.
  • Complete and record quality testing.
  • Complete all required paperwork.
  • Operate and maintain extrusion machinery and equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Use a computer to enter production information and generate labels.
  • Meet all production and quality goals and standards.
  • Understand and adhere to ISO certification requirements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing experience; wire and cable manufacturing is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders and product specifications.
  • Computer experience is desired.
  • Forklift driving experience desired; training provided.
  • Use of overhead cranes desired; training provided.
  • Production or extrusion equipment operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.

Work Environment

The role operates within a production facility with exposure to varying noise levels from machinery and equipment.

Physical Demands

  • Active role requiring consistent standing, balancing, or walking during a 12-hour shift.
  • Frequent twisting, turning, stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, or reaching.
  • Safe lifting techniques required for objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Repetitive hand/wrist movements, including forearm rotation.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent listening, speaking, and use of hands to operate equipment.

Schedule

Our facility operates 24/7. Qualified candidates must be able to work a flexible/rotating schedule, including weekends, and cover overtime as needed. Night shift hours are 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM EST.

Pay

Starting pay begins at $20.00 per hour, with higher rates available for candidates who bring relevant experience.
