PURPOSE OF JOB
To assist extrusion operators in performing job duties safely and correctly.
Job Description
- Administer and maintain safety policies and standards.
- Ensure first quality for all processes.
- Perform and maintain required line readings to ensure machine set-up is correct.
- Be familiar with current schedule and prepare for/perform product changeovers.
- Able to work any shift; and able to work overtime on short notice.
- Fill in for extrusion operators.
- Ensure all operators have necessary tools and supplies.
- Report and remove all waste and odd lot from work centers.
- Train and coach job specifics to extrusion operators.
- Willingness to become proficient with computer programs such as SAP, & Microsoft Office Suite.
- Complete production reports.
- Communicate with oncoming/outgoing shift’s Extrusion Technical Coordinator, will require arrival at work center 15 minutes prior to start of shift.
- Other duties as instructed by Supervisor, or Production Team Lead.
NEEDED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must have a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and write.
- Must have and maintain a good attendance and safety record.
- Display and exhibit leadership abilities.
- Capable of safely lifting 50 lbs.
- Able to prioritize daily tasks in accordance with schedule needs.
WORK SCHEDULES/HOURS
- Sunday through Tuesday, 7 am to 7 pm (A Shift)
- Sunday through Tuesday, 7 pm to 7 am (B Shift)
- Thursday through Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm (C Shift)
- Thursday through Saturday, 7 pm to 7 am (D Shift)
