Extrusion Team Lead

About the role

Extrusion Team Lead position in Frankfort, IL. Available shift: 7pm–7am on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; ensure compliance with GMPs, safety and quality procedures.
• Perform tooling changes (set-ups) on dies and restart extruder efficiently and safely.
• Produce medium-difficulty parts meeting quality specifications at or above specified rates with minimal assistance.
• Develop speed and accuracy in machine tear-down and set-up.
• Assign employees to work stations at start and during the shift.
• Check equipment controls related to vacuums, heat, pressures, timing, water flow, etc.
• Ensure individual and team accountability, participation, and involvement.
• Administer job performance and behavior coaching and counseling as needed; provide timely feedback to managers.
• Complete safety and production paperwork as required.
• Set up extrusion machine by inputting information into a computer console, set roll gaps to precise sizes, and ensure quality control is production grade.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for an entire 12-hour shift.
• Ability to climb stairs and work in high-temperature environments.
• May be required to obtain forklift certification.

Pay

Starting rate of $26.27 per hour.
