Extruder Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Extruder Assistant to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in manufacturing while developing valuable technical skills in a hands-on production environment.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Assemble: Twist and cable primary conductors together using specialized industrial equipment.
• Verify: Act as your own "Quality Inspector" by measuring diameters and gauges with calipers.
• Document: Keep perfect records of your work to ensure every reel meets our high standards.
• Maintain: Maintain your workspace and ensure products are wrapped and ready for the next stage of production.
• Safety: Follow proper safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and the use of PPE.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict productivity standards.
• Comfortable adapting to changing production needs while keeping a clean, organized workspace.
• A track record of consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow complex directions, seek clarification when needed, and maintain legible, accurate production records (Labels & Travelers).
• Responsive to management direction and willing to take full responsibility for personal actions and performance.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour ($22.50 for 2nd Shift)
