Extruder Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Extruder Assistant to join our manufacturing team. If you enjoy working with your hands, operating high-tech machinery, and ensuring products are built to perfect specifications, this is the role for you.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Machine Coordination: Manage "Take-Up" machines to ensure perfect tension and ready-to-ship product.
• Precision Testing: Use calipers to verify cable walls are the exact thickness required for safety and performance.
• Digital Branding: Program inkjet systems to print vital safety codes and branding directly onto the cable jacket.
• Quality Verification: Ensure every foot of cable created meets exact specifications, is labeled correctly, and is packaged securely.

Required Qualifications

• Operational Excellence: Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict productivity standards.
• Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Clear Communication: Ability to follow complex directions, seek clarification when needed, and maintain legible, accurate production records (Labels & Travelers).
• Coachability: Responsive to management direction and willing to take full responsibility for personal actions and performance.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
• Comfortable Working Environment: Familiarity with a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour

• Shift Opportunities: First Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm, Mon-Fri ($20.00/hour); Second Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Mon-Fri (+$2.50/hour); Third Shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am, Mon-Fri (+$3.25/hour); A Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm, Mon-Thu (+$3.25/hour).
