About the role

KLA is seeking a versatile communications professional to shape and amplify our corporate narrative across external audiences. As part of the central corporate communications team, this role develops and executes integrated communications programs that support business priorities, strengthen KLA's brand, and engage key stakeholders, including customers, investors, talent, industry influencers, and media. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and strategic storyteller who can translate complex technical concepts into compelling, accessible narratives. This individual is creative, collaborative, and equally comfortable working on cross-functional teams or driving projects independently.

Responsibilities

  • External Communications
    • Write, edit, and manage a broad range of external content, including blogs, articles, social media content, executive messages, web copy, press releases, and other campaign materials.
    • Collaborate with investor relations, talent acquisition, and other communications teams on comprehensive multi-channel stories and campaigns.
    • Manage editorial calendars and content review cycles to ensure timely delivery of content across channels with consistent brand voice and style.
    • Develop and drive measurement and performance practices aligned with evolving search and engagement trends.
  • Content Development Strategies
    • Research emerging industry and priority technology topics to fuel creative concepts and storytelling approaches.
    • Monitor communications trends across digital platforms and recommend new formats, channels, and content approaches to increase discoverability, visibility, and engagement.
    • Experiment with new content concepts, creator-style storytelling, visual narratives, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Media Relations Support
    • Assist with media relations programs and earned media initiatives, including drafting press releases, media statements, briefing materials, and other supporting communications assets.
    • Collaborate with agency partners on media research, trending news topics, and relevant analyst reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, or a related communications discipline.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, engaging content adapted for multiple audiences and channels.
  • Skilled in social media content strategy and emerging digital storytelling trends.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to work effectively with technical experts, leaders, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years' experience, or
  • Master's degree plus 6 years' experience, or
  • PhD plus 3 years' experience.

Pay

Base pay range: $97,800.00 - $166,300.00 annually.
