Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Interact with local landowners on questions/inquiries about land use, road use, operations, traffic, etc.
- Relationship management through database tracking and documentation
- Work with Operations and Drilling to address landowner concerns
- Work with landowners in specific situations as they arise
- Project coordination to assist with community relations tracking
- Budget management assistance
- Attend community events and meetings
- Attend county oil and gas meetings if needed
- Evaluate and make recommendations to senior management on charitable giving and community involvement opportunities in operating counties
- Organize Ohio volunteer events, stakeholder engagement and event logistics
- Aid in planning and execution of Ascent fundraising events
- Local donation presentation at events
- Monitor Ascent mentions in the local media
- Track and report media hits in local and national press outlets
- Document all social media mentions to better understand community perception
- Landowner mentions on social media platforms
- Other duties assigned as needed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with many different types of people and personalities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Exceptional writing, communication and organizational skills
Education & Work Experience
- Required Minimum Requirements: Community Relations or Public Relations experience; alternatively, experience as a landman working directly with landowners in the field
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
- Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Preferred: 2-5 years’ experience in communications, public relations, community affairs or field land work
- Knowledge of Oil and Gas lease terms
Physical Requirements
- Ability to drive a company vehicle without restrictions
- Ability to walk on topographically complex terrain
