Exterior Finisher, Painter

About the role

Bombardier is hosting a Tucson Meet & Greet and Hiring Event on April 9th for the exterior finisher/painter position at Learjet Inc., Tucson.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and/or Hangar positions).
• Comply with environmental health, safety policies and procedures; participate in 5-S activities and perform all work in a safe and timely manner.
• Surface preparation on aircraft and component parts.
• Apply primer, topcoat and final spray.
• Polish painted surfaces for finished appearance.
• Inspect, perform touch-up and polish painted surfaces for a finished appearance.
• Install sealant and erosion tape.
• Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
• Lay out aircraft to customer specifications.

Requirements

• A minimum of one (1) year of painting experience (i.e. aviation, automotive or marine).
• Satisfactory results on Pulmonary Function evaluation in order to obtain respirator certification.
• Formal vocational training or equivalent.
• Customer service and aviation work experience.
• Basic PC skills.
• Basic knowledge pulling maintenance manuals and IPCs from computer.
• Basic knowledge of regulations dealing with transportation of hazardous materials.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and/or aircraft status.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.

Commensurate with experience.
