Job Goal

To implement instructional activities and programs as directed.

Performance Responsibilities

  • Work with students individually, in small groups, or in large groups as necessary and as prescribed by the immediate supervisor.
  • Work with students with identified special needs, or who require additional educational assistance as defined in an individual education plan (IEP).
  • Assistants provide support in the appropriate educational setting.
  • Demonstrate a continuous sensitivity to the needs of children to whom they are assigned.
  • Carry out instructional or developmental activities suggested by the teacher, specialist, or others designated by the building administrator.
  • Maintain competency and skills through a variety of available offerings.
  • Educational Assistants may be responsible for personal care needs of student(s).

Compensation

2026-2027 Hourly Salary: $19.56 plus $1.00 for a certification from the NH Department of Education as a paraeducator II or as a teacher. An Educational Assistant who is currently certified as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) will receive a $3.00 per hour differential. Hour/Day: 3 hours per session (9:00-12:00) ESY Sessions: 15 ESY Sessions from 7/7/26-8/6/26
