Extended Care Program Instructor (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children during extended-day activities, ensuring a safe and fun environment
  • Plan and implement various engaging and developmentally appropriate activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and educational projects
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff, creating a sense of community
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's day and any concerns
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings to continually enhance your skills and contribute to the team's success

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; experience in early childhood education preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building rapport with children and families
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a nurturing and positive environment
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to the changing needs of children and the program
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
