About the role

This onsite role at our Roanoke Facility requires full-time presence. The Warehouse Operator will safely operate several types of powered material handling equipment, including the Raymond Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Powered Hand Jack, Pacer Truck, Sit-Down Lift, and/or the Center Rider Pallet Truck. Responsibilities include delivering orders to packers, pulling and staging freight, loading freight on containers and local carrier trucks, flipping pallets using the Maxy Toppy, and other duties as needed. This position requires D Storage/RF experience, knowledge of JDE, and the ability to learn the Precision V16 system. The Operator will review bills of lading for accuracy, pull and stage freight, and load and scan freight while meeting KPI standards of 20 pulls per minute per hour. The role may involve contact with hazardous materials, requiring training in all relevant regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate powered material handling equipment (e.g., Raymond Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Powered Hand Jack, Pacer Truck, Sit-Down Lift, Center Rider Pallet Truck).
  • Deliver orders to packers, pull and stage freight, and load freight on containers and local carrier trucks.
  • Flip pallets using the Maxy Toppy and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Review bills of lading for accuracy; pull, stage, load, and scan freight.
  • Meet KPI standards of 20 pulls per minute per hour.
  • Handle hazardous materials in compliance with all regulations and procedures (training provided).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED desired.
  • Visual alertness, hand coordination, and judgment to operate material handling equipment.
  • Reading and legible writing skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately.
  • Basic Excel experience.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in all phases of receiving and warehousing, including off-site warehouses.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Receive training in 40CFR 262.17 as applicable.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Schedule

Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $19.00 per hour, varying by skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short-term incentives as part of total compensation.
