Responsibilities
- Complete accurate export paperwork in a timely manner for customers prior to shipment arriving at destination.
- Provide information or answer inquiries quickly and professionally with other departments, customers, and shipping lines.
- Problem solve within the company as well as with outside sources, referring to quality, quantity, or other concerns.
- Conduct thorough review of export documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards.
- Input AES and Manifest bookings, enter L/C or shipping instructions, apply for Phytos by utilizing government websites.
- Maintain an organized folders and filing system.
- Order supplies and manage equipment when issues occur.
- Update and maintain manual with revised information.
- Scan and make copies of documents.
- Record keeping of contract reports as payments are advised.
- Assume coworker’s duties when on vacation or out of the office.
- Use courier services such as FedEx, UPS, and DHL to track shipments and make labels.
Requirements
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and time management/multitasking.
- Microsoft Office Suite and third-party website experience.
- Ability to communicate and work well in a team setting.
- Customer service experience (this position will be working with customers and multiple shipping lines).
- 6 months export experience preferred.
- 6 months customer service experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Additional Position Information
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak season and occasional weekends.
- The ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
