Career Summary
Join a global compliance team responsible for ensuring technology products and services comply with U.S. and international export control and sanctions regulations. In this role, you will support export compliance activities across hardware, software, and third-party products by conducting export classifications, sanctions reviews, export licensing activities, and compliance research.
Job Duties
- Classify hardware, software, components, and third-party products under applicable export regulations.
- Research products and technologies to determine export control classifications.
- Prepare and submit export classification requests and export license applications to government agencies.
- Support compliance with Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and other applicable export regulations.
- Review foreign national candidates for deemed export requirements and assist with export license applications.
- Conduct sanctions and restricted-party screening research on companies and individuals.
- Maintain export compliance documentation and records in accordance with record retention requirements.
- Develop and deliver export compliance awareness training.
- Assist with creating and improving export compliance processes, procedures, and internal controls.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing compliance with global export regulations.
- Support additional compliance initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in international business, International Relations, International Trade, Law, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of export compliance experience.
- Strong working knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), particularly Categories 3, 4, and 5.
- Experience classifying hardware, software, products, parts, and components under U.S. export regulations.
- Experience preparing and reviewing End User Certifications and Nuclear Nonproliferation Statements.
- Experience researching companies and individuals for sanctions and restricted-party screening.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in macOS and Client productivity tools.
