Expert Systems Engineer

About the role

Bcore is seeking an Expert Systems Engineer to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 11 years of experience and a combination of bachelor's or master's degrees in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Integrate diverse data streams using tools like NiFi, Cribl, etc.
• Establish and maintain data standards for IT and service delivery data sets and streams.
• Analyze complex networks and systems, and log data from various network components and operating systems.
• Manage and troubleshoot data feeds, familiar with Splunk and scripting tools like Python, ShellScript, or Ansible.
• Work with SecDevOps, cloud security controls, PKI implementation, STIG compliance, and virtualization experience (VDI & VMWare).
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and AWS Certified Security Specialty.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with Poly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant field.
• Minimum 11 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
• Experience with data transfer tools and establishing data standards.
• Experience in analyzing complex networks and systems.
• Experience with log data analysis from various network components and operating systems.
• Experience in managing and troubleshooting data feeds.
• Familiarity with Splunk and scripting tools like Python, ShellScript, or Ansible.
• Experience with SecDevOps, cloud security controls, PKI implementation, STIG compliance, and virtualization experience (VDI & VMWare).
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and AWS Certified Security Specialty.

Pay

The expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is $170,000 - 195,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
