Responsibilities
- Provides strategic vision and implementation plans for S&T’s suite of services both for systems engineering and data architecture
- Performs the full lifecycle of engineering support including but not limited to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability analysis, resiliency analysis, development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability analysis, and decommissioning
- Led the identification, tracking, mitigation, and resolution of technical risks and issues to ensure the timely, functionally efficient, and cost-effective stand-up of new capabilities
- Develop solution designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology
- Conducts Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments
- Evaluates cloud environments for efficiency, redundancy, and utilization improvements and provides recommendations
- Identifies industry and DIA standards and creates unique standards for open architecture, service centric architecture, service-oriented architecture, and cloud architecture for inclusion in RFPs, existing contracts, and government development efforts
- Provides modeling and simulation analysis
- Evaluates and provides recommendations on how to automate or improve existing systems and workflows
- Designs, develops, and coordinates central architectures, system engineering, MBSE concepts, and systems engineering for advanced concepts including artificial intelligence and Digital Twin
Requirements
- Expert-level demonstrated experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments
- Demonstrated experience with MBSE processes, tools and languages
- 10+ years of Systems Engineering delivery within the Department of Defense or the Intelligence Community
- Experience developing solution artifacts for business growth endeavors
- Expert level experience across the systems engineering “V” and Agile Delivery methodologies
- 10+ years of experience in leading technical teams within the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community
- Prior DIA experience
- Certified as an INCOSE System Engineering Professional (CSEP) or DAWIA (level III) in IT or SPRDE or certified Scaled Agile Framework Agilist (SA) or Software Development Framework
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Engineering or in a related hard science STEM field such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
- BS +15 years of experience or equivalent 20 years of experience as a SME
Essential Job Functions
- Ability to work onsite in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment on a daily basis
- Ability to collaborate effectively with government stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional partners
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lead and contribute to systems engineering and architecture efforts in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and remain in a stationary position for extended periods
Pay
$220,000 - $250,000 per year
