Expert Service Center Technician

About the role

This role is responsible for performing service activities at service center locations in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities include working with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting with shop and yard work, and ensuring a safe work environment. The position may occasionally interface with customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and culture

• Lead, coach, and mentor junior technicians as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Assist with general shop and yard tasks as required
• Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and customers
• Travel to customer or job sites as needed (up to 20%)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3–7 years of technical experience in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing work
• Experience with customer service
• Experience working independently without direct supervision
• Capable of obtaining a CDL (Class A or B) with applicable endorsements – preferred, not required
• Ability to complete driver-related forms and background checks
• Clean driving record
• DOT Medical Card – if applicable
• Travel up to 20%, including occasional overnight stays

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school background (preferred)
• Technical certifications, industry-specific licenses, or military technical experience (preferred)

Pay

The estimated salary range for this position is $35–37 an hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
