Experienced Welder-Fabricator - Custom Stairs & Railings (Nashville)

About the role

Metal Solutions of TN builds showcase architectural metalwork for luxury homes and upscale commercial projects: floating and mono-stringer stairs, spiral stairs, glass and cable railings, ornamental railings, and one-of-a-kind metal features. Work is growing and we're adding experienced welder-fabricators who can take a set of shop drawings and turn out clean, finished work from day one.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld (short-arc and spray) mild steel, stainless and aluminum: stringers, rails, posts, brackets and custom pieces
• Read blueprints and shop drawings, including weld symbols; lay out stair geometry, angles, curves and radii
• Fit, tack and finish weldments; grind and prep for powder coat or polish
• Run shear, press brake, ironworker, band saws and standard fab tools
• Occasional site measures, deliveries and installs (we install what we build)

Requirements

• 3+ years of real custom or architectural welding/fabrication (stairs and railings strongly preferred)
• Clean, consistent MIG beads on steel
• Confident blueprint reading and accurate layout
• Dependable attendance and pride in your work
• Resume plus a few phone photos of your best stair, railing or architectural projects

Qualifications

• TIG on stainless or aluminum
• Floating, mono-stringer or complex stair builds
• Field install experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish
