About the role
Full-time onsite position at Hi-Tech Furnace Systems, Inc. in Shelby Township, MI, USA.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and thread pipe (stainless steel and PVC)
- Measure, cut, and weld steel
- Grinding, deburring, drilling and tapping, sawing
- Follow instructions and maintain a clean work area
Physical Requirements
- Continuous standing, bending, and kneeling on concrete floor for most of the work day
- Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs. constantly, 11 to 25 lbs. frequently, and 26 to 50 lbs. occasionally during the workday
Qualifications
- MIG and TIG welding experience, minimum of 1 year in a shop environment
- Welding certificate from an accredited program
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Ability to operate industrial hand and power tools
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Proficient in math
- Problem solving skills and decision making ability
- Punctual, meticulous and reliable
- Courteous manners with fellow employees and customers
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Welding certificate from an accredited program
