About the role
The Pet Doctor is a two-doctor general practice serving small animals and some exotics. We provide a wide range of services, including Preventative Care, Urgent Care & Emergency Services, Digital Radiology, High Speed Dentistry, Ultrasound, Laser Therapy, In-House Laboratory, and Dental Imaging.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
- Greet and welcome clients and patients
- Answer questions and triage client concerns
- Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
- Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
- Check in and check out clients and process payments
- Provide friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need
- Handle unpleasant odors, noises, and potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases

Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of veterinary receptionist experience
- Compassionate, calm, and strong team player
- Ability to multitask and strong communication skills
- Highly organized with proficient computer skills
- Self-starter with a desire to advance knowledge and skillset
