What You'll Do As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll serve as the communication hub of the hospital by:Welcoming clients and patients with professionalism, warmth, and compassionAnswering multi-line phones, scheduling appointments, and managing daily calendarsChecking patients in and out while ensuring accurate documentationMaintaining electronic medical records with attention to detailProcessing invoices, payments, and client financial transactionsExplaining hospital services, appointment expectations, and discharge instructionsAssisting with prescription requests and medication pick-up coordination under veterinarian directionCommunicating effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient patient flowProviding calm, empathetic support during urgent or emotionally sensitive situationsHelping maintain an organized, welcoming front desk and lobby environment What We’re Looking For: We're seeking someone who is:Experienced in veterinary client service (not an entry-level position)Passionate about helping pets and the people who love themFriendly, professional, and confident communicating with clientsComfortable multitasking in a busy veterinary hospitalOrganized, dependable, and detail-orientedAble to remain calm under pressure while prioritizing multiple responsibilitiesA collaborative team player who enjoys supporting othersPreferred QualificationsMinimum of one year of veterinary receptionist, veterinary client service, or medical front desk experiencePrevious experience in a veterinary hospital or animal healthcare settingFamiliarity with veterinary medical terminologyExperience with veterinary software such as Cornerstone, AVImark, ezyVet, or similar platformsBilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferredPhysical Requirements This position requires the ability to:Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workdayFrequently bend, stoop, kneel, and reachLift and carry up to 40 pounds independently and heavier pets with assistanceSafely handle dogs, cats, and other companion animals of varying sizes and temperamentsWork in a veterinary healthcare environment with routine exposure to animal dander, fur, saliva, cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, medications, and occasional loud noisesPerform repetitive computer and telephone tasks while maintaining excellent attention to detail Why You'll Love Working With Us: ScheduleThis is a part-time position offering approximately two shifts per week.
