Experienced Truck Technician

About the role

Pape’ Kenworth, a premier medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician to maintain and repair Class 7 & 8 trucks. You’ll diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, repair or rebuild major components, and work alongside highly trained technicians in a fully equipped shop.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
• Repair or rebuild major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems
• Perform top-quality work to ensure customer trucks run smoothly and maximize uptime
• Work with the right tools, training, and support to make a real impact

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty Class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair
• Diesel tech degree with mechanical aptitude/background accepted in lieu of experience
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred
• Self-motivation and assertiveness
• Ability to work under little or no supervision
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills
• Must provide own tools

Pay

$33.80–$34.35 per hour, depending on experience.
