Experienced Loan Officer - Consumer Direct
About the Role
At Mutual of Omaha Mortgage, Loan Officers are trained to listen, build rapport, understand and analyze the full financial situations of our customers. Our goal is to provide the most appropriate financial solutions to meet each client's specific needs. We specialize in affinity relationships, offering very competitive pricing, and provide a complete line of residential mortgage, refinancing, and specialty loans.
Mutual of Omaha Mortgage is a full-service lending division with a knowledgeable staff of experienced Loan Officers and an operations team that ensures competitive interest rates and optimal mortgage structuring by constantly updating loan programs and pricing based on market patterns.
Responsibilities
- Listen, build rapport, and analyze customers' financial situations
- Provide appropriate financial solutions tailored to client needs
- Connect quickly with consumers and build rapport with potential clients
- Handle a high volume of inbound calls
- Close deals and negotiate effectively
- Quickly identify customer goals and objectives
- Demonstrate strong follow-up capabilities
- Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and initiative
Requirements
- Energetic and outgoing with excellent communication skills
- Persuasive with good character and integrity
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable taking inbound calls
- Strong ability and passion for closing deals and negotiating
- Ambitious professional motivated by advancement opportunities
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
- Sales experience preferred
- College degree preferred, but not mandatory

Pay
This position is eligible for commissions, along with a state/local minimum wage base hourly rate. The average income of a Senior Loan Officer is typically between $50,000 and $200,000 a year.
