About the role

We are looking for an experienced Associate Vice President to join our Boston office. This opportunity is ideal for a proven recruitment professional who is ready to take ownership of an established market, drive business growth, and play a key role in the continued expansion of our Legal & Compliance practice.

Responsibilities

• Business Development & Client Leadership: Develop and expand relationships with legal departments, compliance teams, law firms, and senior business leaders across your specialist market. Generate new business opportunities, negotiate commercial agreements, and establish yourself as a trusted advisor to your clients.
• Candidate Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with legal, regulatory, and compliance professionals from mid-level talent through executive leadership. Use your market expertise to identify, engage, and place high-caliber candidates in business-critical roles.
• Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment process from business development and candidate sourcing through offer negotiation and post-placement support. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional outcomes for both clients and candidates.
• Market Leadership: Develop deep expertise within your niche market and use market intelligence, compensation data, and industry insights to advise clients and candidates alike. Position yourself as a go-to specialist within regulatory and legal recruitment.
• Team Development: Lead by example through personal performance while contributing to the development of junior consultants. Share best practices, mentor colleagues, and help drive a high-performance culture.

Requirements

• Proven success in agency recruitment, executive search, staffing, or a highly commercial sales environment
• Strong track record of business development and revenue generation
• Experience managing client relationships and complex recruitment processes
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
• Strong commercial awareness and a consultative approach
• Leadership potential and a desire to develop others
• Highly motivated, ambitious, and driven by performance

Pay

Base starting at $65,000, plus uncapped commission rates starting at 15% up to 50% annually.
