About the role

Install and set up ALD tool equipment at customer sites. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently. Conduct system upgrades and modifications as needed. Troubleshoot and repair complex issues using advanced diagnostic techniques. Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers on equipment operation. Train customer personnel and colleagues on proper maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. Act as an ambassador between customers and internal technical teams. Serve as a technical resource for junior engineers, providing guidance and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Install and set up ALD tool equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
  • Conduct system upgrades and modifications as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex issues using advanced diagnostic techniques.
  • Analyze and improve system performance.
  • Implement corrective actions after root cause analysis.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to engineering teams when necessary.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers on equipment operation.
  • Train customer personnel and colleagues on proper maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Act as an ambassador between customers and internal technical teams.
  • Act as a technical resource for junior engineers, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Maintain service logs, reports, and documentation for all customer interactions.
  • Provide feedback to engineering and relevant product teams on recurring issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives and implement new best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in semiconductor manufacturing technology.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency.
  • Maintain a harmonious work environment and avoid creating discord.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the semiconductor equipment industry required.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support of semiconductor equipment.
  • At least 1 year of experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and systems.
  • Proficiency in interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and system manuals.
  • Experience working in a clean room environment.
  • Familiarity with vacuum systems, robotics, or automation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, when needed (domestic and international).

Benefits

Initial comprehensive training in South Korea for technical proficiency is required (approximately 4 weeks). Company-sponsored travel and accommodations are provided. Candidates must be fully authorized to work in the US. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Relocation package is not available for this role. Must have reliable transportation for commuting to customer sites and company locations as needed.

Pay

  • Salary min: $600,000
  • Salary max: $900,000
