Shape the future of energy through strategic legal counsel at Madison Gas and Electric. As a Corporate Attorney, you'll work closely with leaders across the organization to navigate complex business issues, manage risk, and support initiatives that are shaping the future of energy.
Responsibilities
- Work with leaders across the organization to navigate complex business issues, manage risk, and support initiatives that are shaping the future of energy.
- Provide practical legal counsel that helps move the business forward.
- Partner with stakeholders across operations, generation, energy delivery, technology, and corporate functions to identify solutions, balance risk with business objectives, and provide counsel on a broad range of legal matters.
Requirements
- Experienced legal generalist with strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Sound business judgment.
- The ability to communicate complex legal issues in a practical way.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin.
- Five or more years of experience in business/transactional, regulatory, real estate, administrative, or corporate law.
- Experience in the utility industry, another regulated industry, municipal or government agency, corporate practice, or commercial litigation preferred.
