Shape the future of energy through strategic legal counsel at Madison Gas and Electric. As a Corporate Attorney, you'll work closely with leaders across the organization to navigate complex business issues, manage risk, and support initiatives that are shaping the future of energy.

Responsibilities

• Work with leaders across the organization to navigate complex business issues, manage risk, and support initiatives that are shaping the future of energy.
• Provide practical legal counsel that helps move the business forward.
• Partner with stakeholders across operations, generation, energy delivery, technology, and corporate functions to identify solutions, balance risk with business objectives, and provide counsel on a broad range of legal matters.

Requirements

• Experienced legal generalist with strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Sound business judgment.
• The ability to communicate complex legal issues in a practical way.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin.
• Five or more years of experience in business/transactional, regulatory, real estate, administrative, or corporate law.
• Experience in the utility industry, another regulated industry, municipal or government agency, corporate practice, or commercial litigation preferred.
