About the role
As a Concrete Estimator, you will:
- Analyze project requirements, gathering essential data to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Utilize On-Screen Takeoff to conduct takeoffs and break down labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Assess risks, analyze market trends, and forecast costs to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and submit detailed bids and reports for prospective projects.
- Evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals to secure the most competitive quotes.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience estimating structural concrete projects
- Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Associate degree or higher (preferred, but not required)
- Must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to starting
