Concrete Estimator
Job Description
We are seeking an early-career Concrete Estimator to join our Procurement team. This role is ideal for someone with around two years of estimating experience who is ready to continue developing their skills in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Read and outline project specifications
- Discuss and establish bid strategies, concerns, and advantages
- Work With Estimating Administrators for vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination using SmartBid
- Establish, write and review work scopes for subcontractors
- Affiliate with pre-bid meetings with Operations personnel and Subcontractors as needed
- Affiliate with operations staff on project logistics, staging, phasing plans, and coordination when it comes to Self-preform concrete
- Accurately take-off as required for CSI Division 3, Concrete
- Price items of both self-performed and sub contracted work on a unit priced basis
- Utilize Subcontractor and Field Production Data to establish database pricing
- Improve existing subcontractor relationships & get to know the subcontractors/suppliers
- Review estimates for accuracy, constructability and risks
- Rely on judgment and experience to plan and establish deadlines
- Affiliate with Estimating Department as needed to facilitate teamwork
Qualifications
- Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, procedures, technology, & programs within the construction field
- A certain degree of creativity and innovation is required -- out plan your competition
- This position should have a minimum of Two (2) years' experience as an estimator in Commercial Construction
- This position should have experience with projects over $1 Million
- Experience with self-performance of concrete required
- Must be able to schedule, be proficient in Destini, OST, Blue Beam, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
