Experienced Asphalt Equipment Operator

About the role

Rogers Group is seeking an Experienced Asphalt Operator to join their team in Upstate, SC. The ideal candidate will have experience working in road building and operating a paver, with an emphasis on safety.

Responsibilities

• Running various pieces of equipment as needed – such as a bobcat, skid steer, and haul truck.
• Dozing, track hoeing, and being trained in various production positions.
• Filling in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times.
• Running water trucks to control dust on roadways.
• Reporting equipment problems and identifying them to management.
• Maintaining quarries and equipment.
• Completing daily inspections and equipment pre-shift reports.
• Aiding other workers as needed or directed.
• Assisting with other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Previous experience working in a mining environment preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.

Pay

The wages start at $21/hr, with a potential increase based on experience.

Schedule

Overtime is required as needed and may include Saturdays.
