Asphalt Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Proper and efficient operation of asphalt paving equipment
• Basic maintenance of asphalt paving equipment
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills

• Communicate with all positions of the workforce
• Operate different asphalt paving equipment
• Perform daily maintenance

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s License, CDL preferred
• 2-3 years of asphalt equipment experience, or in a related field
• Experience in construction equipment operation is preferred

Work Environment/Physical Abilities

• The physical abilities of this position require the employee to be able to frequently sit, stand, climb, low level work, reaching, bending, and trunk movements.
• May require carrying, pushing/pulling, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
• Lifting requirements may include up to 50 pounds.

Traveling

• Traveling is an essential requirement of this position to ensure implementation of Asphalt Screed Operator functions.
• Employee will be required at times to work nights, weekends, over 40-hour work weeks.
