About the role

The Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the right materials, subcontractors, and project information are delivered at the right time to keep projects moving efficiently. This role serves as a key coordinator between internal teams, subcontractors, and the field by managing project documentation, resolving building discrepancies, coordinating site revisions, and maintaining accurate project records. As an Expeditor, you will play a vital role in delivering successful commercial construction projects while supporting our commitment to quality, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Run Check Set meetings to ensure final working drawings are accurate and complete
  • Coordinate final plan distribution, including all revisions
  • Secure secondary subcontractors for applicable phases of each project
  • Perform material take-offs for project phases that are not subcontracted
  • Coordinate crew information packets prior to project startup
  • Maintain project profitability through effective coordination and planning
  • Serve as an additional point of contact for building and job site related questions
  • Maintain official project records and documentation
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve building discrepancies and site revisions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience, including field experience
  • High School Diploma required; construction-related education preferred
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction materials, methods, and products
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
  • Strong math skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
