Expediter - Warehouse

Essential Duties

• Retrieve Customer orders and locate products and communicate locations with team members
• Pull reports as needed from computer system and close out orders when complete
• Follow established standard operation procedures
• Sort and stack product accurately by type and size
• Daily housekeeping of inventory racks and staging areas
• Load and unload product manually
• Follow established safety procedures
• Packaging product as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe working area

Essential Job Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• No previous experience required but previous warehouse work experience is preferred
• Proficient with computers

Skills/Knowledge Required

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and with a team
• Able to multi-task
• Able to lift up to 50lbs without assistance and more than 50lbs using a team-lift
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Good hand-eye coordination

Physical Environment/Working Conditions

• Standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day
• Grasping and fine finger manipulation on both hands
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
• Grasping and fine manipulation on both hands
• The plant is not climate controlled
• Noise levels can become high
• The work is done in an area where moving mechanical machinery, parts or vibration are located

About the Role

This position supports the warehouse by identifying, collecting and sorting product for customer orders and preparing them for shipping. May pull orders from inventory, deliver production material and supplies, or stage finished product.
