Responsibilities
- Checks each plate of food to be correct as ordered by the guest
- Sets up and prepares condiments for each order
- Affirms that all items on the order are ready and on the tray together
- Avoids breakage and loss of food items
- Notifies servers of guest needs
- Completes opening, ongoing, and closing side work and signs off with the manager on duty
- Restocks appropriate linens, plates, and saucers for service
- Notifies servers of any potential guest issues
- Familiarizes himself/herself with all menus
- Attends mandatory department meetings and other resort and division meetings
- Answers questions and/or makes recommendations on menu items
- Performs food preparation duties such as bread and butter setups, condiment preparation, and any other prep as needed
- Affirms that beverage ice bins remain full for service staff
- Addresses any guest issues promptly and with concern
Qualifications
- High school education required
- Prior food and beverage experience preferred
- At least six months customer service experience preferred
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Food Handler’s permit before starting the job
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height; and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs
