Expanded Function Dental Assistant - Temporary - Full Time

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and updating patient medical records and vital signs
• Performing advanced clinical functions such as X-ray procedures, periodontal charting, and sterilization
• Preparing instruments and materials for patient exams
• Providing preventive periodontal care, oral hygiene education, and assisting with orthodontic procedures
• Implementing infection control protocols and assisting in clinic operations
• Supporting providers chairside and ensuring compliance with health standards
• Performing other clinical duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GEDE
• EFDA certification within 90 days of employment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days
• Bilingual in English and Spanish at a high proficiency level
• Knowledge of dental terminology, materials, and infection control techniques
• Manual dexterity and ability to perform four-handed assisting
• Proficiency with electronic dental records and Microsoft Office tools
