Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating patient medical records, including vital signs and medical history
  • Performing complete X-ray procedures, developing and storing images electronically
  • Conducting periodontal charting and preparing instruments and materials for patient exams
  • Providing preventative periodontal care such as polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants
  • Educating patients on oral hygiene and assisting with infection control protocols
  • Supporting orthodontic procedures, including record-taking and appliance fabrication
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED, EFDA certification within 90 days of employment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) at a high proficiency level
  • Basic knowledge of dental terminology, materials, and infection control
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform four-handed assisting
  • Proficiency with electronic records and standard computer applications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire; registration as a Surgical Technologist if assisting in operating room
