About the role
The Existing Business Coordinator will assist in maintaining broker relations by servicing existing business accounts in a team environment. Responsibilities include processing eligibility changes, assisting with billing and claim inquiries, and providing customer service to clients, brokers, and marketing representatives.
Responsibilities
- Process and follow up on existing business inquiries.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with carriers, brokers, and clients.
- Maintain workflow to meet goals established by management.
- Service existing clients (brokers, groups, and members) by providing guidance on eligibility issues, invoice inquiries, procedures, and benefits.
- Verify and process applications to ensure accurate billings according to established procedures.
- Obtain necessary information for enrollment to maintain accurate membership records and provide written confirmations to clients on new additions and membership changes.
- Communicate any unusual situations to the marketing representative that arise with brokers or clients.
- Collaborate as a team with the Marketing Representative and Team Lead to assist brokers and clients.
- Enter new groups in the EM Connect Database.
- Enter production data in Salesforce.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
- General data entry skills required.
- Life & Health License preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation tools.
- Insurance background preferred.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to compose clear and concise written communications.
