Key Responsibilities

  • Aid in establishing the strategy for optimizing the utilization of all technical products servicing existing assets.
  • Support implementation of customer communications that explain and promote technical products serving existing assets, ensuring messaging is accurate, consistent, and aligned with product intent and technical requirements.
  • Research and benchmark comparable programs, offerings, and educational content from peer organizations, ensuring technical development and product strategy decisions are informed by external market signals and emerging approaches.
  • Maintain existing LEED O+M technical products with periodic updates to credit language, guidance, and supporting materials, ensuring ongoing technical rigor, clarity, and consistency with program objectives.
  • Assist in the development of new versions of LEED O+M technical products.
  • Provide general support for articulating the technical requirements of all technical products serving existing assets to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal staff, volunteers, and subject-matter experts to develop/refine technical content and supporting resources, ensuring requirements are implementable and aligned with best practices.
  • Aid in the development of educational content related to the technical application of requirements within technical products serving existing assets.
  • Support communication of updates, adjustments, and changes required with Arc to IT.
  • Provide general support including preparing committee memos, meeting agendas, and volunteer committee communications.
  • Regularly review data collected on projects in Arc and provide insights on building performance and credit application for technical products serving existing assets.
  • Track work progress and communicate cross-functional needs (including Arc-related updates/adjustments) using tools such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Smartsheet, ensuring clear handoffs, and on-time execution.

Experience Required

  • 2+ years of experience in the built environment, program coordination, project management, or standards/compliance environment.
  • Familiarity with USGBC products (LEED, TRUE) and certification processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the built environment, sustainability, environmental science/policy, operations or related field.
  • Technology/System(s) proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Smartsheet preferred but not required.
  • Experience leveraging AI or integrating AI capabilities to automate workflows, enhance knowledge management, and/or improve product development.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with a diverse array of individuals and constituents.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and translate organizational goals into technical strategies.
  • Detail orientation with high standards for quality, documentation, and data integrity without consistent supervision.
  • Commitment to USGBC mission.
  • LEED GA or AP certification recommended.

About Our Total Rewards Package

Salary Final compensation and benefits will be confirmed at the time of offer and may vary based on factors such as internal equity, relevant experience, qualifications, and employment status. Please note that salary negotiations will not extend beyond the top of the internal salary range.

  • A generous paid time off policy (12 paid holidays, 9 paid personal sick days and based on career level either 2 to 3 weeks PTO), including operations closed for a full week between Christmas and New Year’s.
  • 6 weeks paid renewal leave after 7 years of continuous service.

Logistics Location: Remote, U.S. or hybrid position in Washington, DC headquarters.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. in the team member’s local time zone, with occasional meetings scheduled in Eastern Time.

Travel %: 5% for occasional conferences, speaking events, and team retreats.
