Associate Architect
About the role
Vickers Design Group is seeking an Associate Architect with 3-6 years of professional experience to join their dynamic team. The role involves contributing to all phases of design, from developing schematic concepts and design development drawings to producing detailed construction documents using Revit. Key responsibilities include managing small to mid-size projects, collaborating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Produces Revit drawings from schematic design (SD) through construction documentation (CD).
- Maintains compliance with building codes, zoning, firm standards, and industry best practices.
- Develops floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Works independently on defined tasks.
- Ensures drawings comply with building codes, zoning, firm standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborates with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Reviews and responds to Request for Information (RFI) and submittals.
- Meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- 3 - 6 years of professional architectural experience.
- Proficient in Revit.
- Experience in corporate, industrial, or multi-family project types is desirable.
- Proactive mindset and positive attitude.
- Hands-on experience with coordinating with clients, contractors, and consultants.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to produce high-quality architectural drawings and documents.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of sustainable design principles and green building practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in Revit.
