Responsibilities
- Lead an engineering team for delivery of buildings (structural) projects, through all design phases, from conceptual to detailed design.
- Perform design and analysis of complex building structures, prepare plans, specifications in accordance with applicable standards.
- Conduct quality control activities for independent review and checking of structural designs.
- Manage and mentor junior, intermediate and senior engineers, overseeing staff utilization and provide for timekeeping approval.
- Interface with clients for project delivery.
- Assist with business development and pursuits of projects.
- Lead the proposal preparation effort for design projects and attend interviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
- Licensed Professional Engineering License (P.E. or S.E.) 10-15+ years of experience in the execution of buildings structural engineering projects, with exposure to both new construction and existing buildings (renovations/additions).
- Thorough knowledge of US building codes and referenced standards as ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360, etc. and other applicable regulations.
- Proven track record of winning work and building client relationships.
- Strong team management and mentoring skills.
- Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

- Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
Additional Information
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $135,000 - $190,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
