This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Independently underwrite and manage a portfolio of Professional Liability risks, focusing on Architects & Engineers accounts
- Evaluate small and middle market risks including complex exposures for sound risk selection and profitable growth
- Negotiate pricing, coverage, and policy terms while maintaining underwriting discipline
- Develop and maintain strong national relationships with retail brokers
- Support underwriting leadership in executing portfolio strategies and achieving business objectives
- Monitor market conditions and trends impacting Professional Liability business
- Partner with Claims, Actuarial, Product, Legal, and Compliance teams for portfolio management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of Professional Liability / E&O underwriting experience
- Significant experience underwriting Architects & Engineers Professional Liability risks required
- Experience underwriting both admitted and surplus lines business
- Established relationships with retail brokers in the Professional Liability marketplace strongly preferred
Pay
$160,000 – $200,000 annually
