Responsibilities
- Review and analyze complex standalone Professional Liability risks, including but not limited to Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Real Estate E&O, Media Liability, and Technology Professionals.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analysis to determine appropriate coverage, terms, and pricing based on internal guidelines and market conditions.
- Establish and maintain strong long-term relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders to drive submission flow and new business growth.
- Collaborate with other underwriting teams to identify cross-selling opportunities and promote our product offerings.
- Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
- Monitor and manage the performance of the assigned portfolio, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and data integrity within underwriting systems.
- Other duties as may be assigned by manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree – insurance, business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in Professional Liability underwriting, with a proven track record of profitable growth.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Professional Liability underwriting, policies, and coverages within the insurance industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make sound decisions.
- Possess planning, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Self-motivated and independent work traits along with multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using underwriting software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
- Professional designations such as CPCU, RPLU, and/or ARM are a plus.
