Candidates must be willing and able to travel throughout the territory as needed.

Responsibilities

• As a Sr. Technology Underwriter, you’ll be responsible for the management and growth of a Northern California Territorybook of business as well as the acquisition of new business with a focus on Technology Middle Market insurance customers.
• We will rely on you to analyze customers’ business information and claims history, monitor clients’ activities to change the policies as risks evolve.
• You’ll evaluate acceptability of individual risks and determine overall acceptability of risk, coverage terms and pricing to achieve company profit objectives.
• You’ll work with agents/brokers to develop productive and profitable relationships while also ensuring compliance with company underwriting guidelines and insurance regulators.
• Responsible for profitable results by maintaining high premium retention ratios
• Manage accounts for assigned territory
• Handle new and renewal submissions and endorsement requests from agents/ producers
• Document underwriting files to support analysis, coverage terms and pricing
• Operate according to underwriting authority as delegated by manager
• In conjunction with management, lead renewal business initiatives for territory including execution of pricing, premium retention, coverage analysis, loss control needs, claim service needs and account stewardship
• Provides clear instruction and guidance to underwriting support staff and operations staff
