About the role

As an Executive Supply Chain Partner (ESCP), you will serve as a trusted advisor to our members—clients who are SVPs, EVPs, and CSCOs from Global 1000 organizations and government agencies. The role involves engaging each member-client to help identify mission-critical priorities and key initiatives, and to achieve specific enterprise goals. Partnering activities may include:

  • Defining, developing, coaching, and/or critiquing strategies
  • Helping develop and/or transform their organizations
  • Assisting/advising with the development and execution of vision & strategy
  • Aggregating and delivering Gartner research insights on key initiatives, priorities, and implementations
  • Acting as a consigliere for the SVP, EVP, or CSCO

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management: Manage 25–30 senior executive member relationships and participate in account planning with Client Success Managers (CSMs) and Senior Account Executives. Engage in all phases of the member lifecycle: pre-sale, on-boarding, relationship management, delivery, review, and renewal. Success is measured by executing smooth hand-offs from sales, regularly engaging members substantively, creating complete member profiles, identifying member agendas, developing engagement plans, participating in quarterly account reviews, and preparing value-added member meetings.
  • Sales and Marketing Support: Drive member retention and contribute to regional growth by supporting Gartner Sales in prospect cultivation, account plan development, and value demonstration activities.
  • Research Support: Facilitate member participation in research studies or case panels, align with Gartner research positions, provide member feedback to the research organization, and collaborate with analysts to develop CSCO-relevant research.
  • Program Delivery:
    • Define and deliver innovative solutions by assessing client needs and developing customized value plans aligned with Gartner’s Supply Chain strategy and product deliverables.
    • Work with clients across industries to advance supply chain maturity through research, peer networking, and coaching.
    • Critique client strategies, guide organizational development, and assist in establishing supply chain priorities and implementation plans.
    • Establish and maintain internal relationships to create comprehensive, sustainable client deliverables (e.g., targeted research, coaching sessions, scripted analyst sessions).
    • Direct and facilitate member peer group calls and meetings.
  • Content Development and Management:
    • Participate in presentations and relevant research communities to maintain current topic knowledge and share member experiences with analysts.
    • Facilitate member interaction and collaboration via the Supply Chain member community portal and assisted connections.
    • Lead and participate in on-site and virtual roundtables and Gartner Exec Series Webex sessions.

Requirements

  • Senior business executive with demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering end-to-end Supply Chain strategy, transformation, execution, and performance improvement within the High-Tech industry.
  • Current or former SVP, EVP of Supply Chain, or CSCO with experience managing a significant P&L, direct reports, and a large team. Broad expertise in Supply Chain Strategy and a track record of driving change at all levels.
  • University graduate (Master’s preferred) with 15+ years’ experience in a senior management role (e.g., CSCO, SVP, EVP, or COO) in a Supply Chain Executive capacity; or 5+ years in such a role with an additional 5+ years in another Supply Chain Executive role (e.g., Partner in Supply Chain Consulting).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, humility, and experience working with C-level executives.
  • Strong reflective listening skills and the ability to adapt to client cues and needs.
  • In-depth understanding of the Supply Chain industry and the CSCO role, including leadership, operations management, strategy, trends, and metrics.
  • Deep knowledge of the business value of Supply Chain and alignment with business strategies.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess member situations and provide actionable, outcome-based advice, leveraging Gartner and other resources to help clients achieve results.
  • Ability to lead and manage ambiguous situations.
  • Superior verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Energetic, sales-savvy, collaborative, and a strong team leader.
  • Strong time and project management skills.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $160,000–$194,000 USD. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
