About the role
This role will drive complex programs from planning through execution with a focus on structure, accountability, and measurable delivery. You will work across business leaders, delivery teams, and strategic partners to align priorities, manage dependencies, and keep initiatives on track. The position offers the opportunity to bring clarity to complex work and deliver outcomes that matter across the organization within a life sciences environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of Phase 1 retina clinical trials, ensuring safety and data integrity
- Oversee cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of studies
- Develop and implement biomarker strategies for retinal programs in collaboration with research teams
- Author regulatory documents, including INDs and development plans, ensuring compliance
- Organize scientific advisory board meetings and collaborate with external experts for input
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (M.D.), preferably with ophthalmology residency and subspecialty training in retina
- 10+ years of clinical ophthalmology research experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
- Experience with medical monitoring and oversight of Phase 1 retina clinical trials
- Familiarity with gene therapy studies and NDA/BLA/MAA submission processes
- Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP and FDA regulations

Compensation: $350,000 – $398,000 annually
